Research Focus

Our research on joint mechanics integrates laboratory experiments, motion analysis, and computer simulations. We are currently focused on clinically relevant studies involving the spine, shoulder, hip, and knee, addressing a wide range of challenges within musculoskeletal biomechanics.

We use advanced load frames to test materials and human tissue with high precision in force and displacement.

We can capture real-time 3D motion with markers at up to 1000 fps, and map out pressure.

We are able to print freeform cell suspensions, hydrogels, thermoplastic filaments, and other materials.
